The New Buzz Word In Drivers Is ... Epic! 

The new Callaway driver with Jailbreak Technology - If golfers weren't aware of the driver before last week then they certainly were after a somewhat popular Irishman used it for the first time and hit the ball 392 Yards off the first tee at the BMW Open in South Africa - oh and by the way his ball carry was only a mere 375 yards! In total there were 50 Callaway Epic woods in play at this golf tournament, which is fantastic for a new launch product. 

The good news for all of us that are not quite as good as Rory (yes it was him) is it can suit all players and we have the clubs in stock for you to try before you buy, with one of our PGA professionals explaining how it works best for you.

Senior member Ed Mowlem purchased from us a set of PING G irons. He used them for the first time on our senior captain's drive-in and promptly won the competition! 

In second place was member Danny Lovett who alos bought a new set of Callaway Steelhead irons and it was only the second time he had played with them. Great play guys!


 

The shop sale will finish at the end of January, but you might find some nice goodies in the last week (23rd to 31st) with some extra discounts marked with a RED DOT come in and seek out a bargain!


 

At Garon Park we are very fortunate to have a golf course that rarely closes and we are never on temporary greens and play from grass tees, apart from when nature really hits. Last week we had snow (only for one day), and unfortunately heavy frost came in on Wednesday the 18th. To allow golfers on the course in such conditions will severely damage the surfaces and more importantly it is potentially very dangerous. For both of those reasons we have to wait until it's frost free and thawed out. On Wednesday we opened at 11.30am and we thank all the golfers for their understanding and patience when this happens.
